40 Abandoned Tools. 3 Days to Start Production.

A supplier sent a customer's press tools back. ENCO had the first good parts off them within days.

Draft - not cleared Gitanshu Patodiya logs, Aakash Khurana approves, Ishaan Gupta publishes.

The problem

A customer needed help, fast, with a complex part. It was stamped and then surface-coated. It was made of several child parts that had to fit each other, and fit other parts at the customer’s end.

Their supplier could not make parts to the drawing. So it gave up and sent the tools back - 40 of them. The customer had product drawings, but no tool drawings. It had to restart supply within 3 days.

What ENCO did

The tools came in on a truck, and we started work that day. Our toolmakers worked day and night. They found the faults, changed the tools and set them right.

The first good parts came off within 2 days. Within a month, we had solved all the old problems. Some of them had been there for years.

To make more sets, and keep every assembly exact, we added simple, low-cost automation where the line was slow.

The result

The customer restarted supply on time. It went on to export hundreds of thousands of sets over 5 years. The parts kept their quality, and they arrived on time.
