Defence and PSU buyers
For DPSUs, DRDO labs and private defence companies who need pressed and welded sheet-metal parts made to their drawing, and inspected to their standard.
What ENCO makes for defence
Sheet-metal parts and assemblies, built to print
ENCO presses, welds, coats and assembles sheet-metal parts to the buyer's drawing, with dies and weld fixtures designed and built in its own tool room. It does not make turbine airfoils or hot-section castings.
For defence buyers that means welded chassis and frames, suspension assemblies, fabricated sheet-metal parts and enclosures, and the jigs, fixtures and welding tooling to make them.
From automotive to defence
What changes for a sheet-metal part
Fewer parts, more paper
Lots are small, and each one carries its own records: material certificates traced to the heat, inspection reports and the drawing revision it was made to.
First article before supply
The first part is inspected against the drawing by the buyer's own QA, or DGQA, before any supply begins. Passing it the first time keeps the programme on its dates.
The tender decides the format
Technical and commercial bids are judged clause by clause. A bid that misses one clause is out, however good the part.
How ENCO works a defence enquiry
- Registration. ENCO on your portal or vendor list, with a vendor code.
- NDA and drawings. Your drawing and specification, under your NDA.
- Capability assessment. Your team assesses the plant that would make the part.
- Technical bid. Read clause by clause against the tender before ENCO bids.
- First article inspection. By your QA or DGQA, before supply.

What does ENCO not make for defence?
Turbine airfoils and hot-section castings. ENCO makes pressed, welded and coated sheet-metal parts and assemblies, to your drawing.
Have a drawing or a tender item?
Ask an ENCO engineer whether ENCO can make it, and what it would take. An answer from a person within one working day.
