The problem
A customer was building a new vehicle plant, in a state where we had no plant. Late changes to its plans left a gap. It needed a partner who could do more than ship parts.
It needed a full stamping and welding unit right next to its new plant, far from our other plants. The unit had to make right parts the first time. And it had to be ready by a date that could not move.
What ENCO did
When the call came, we moved fast. We leased a building near the customer’s plant. We moved key machines into it. Our tool room designed and built the press tools and weld fixtures. We put a team together, and we persuaded key people to move there.
The full stamping and weld line was running in 90 days.
The result
The timeline was tight, and the place was new to us. Even so, the customer met its trial and SOP dates on time. The parts were right for production from the start.
The parts were 100% accurate at SOP.
