ED coating

Electro-deposition (ED or e-coat) primer for corrosion protection of pressed and welded parts before they ship.

What the process covers

In ED coating, parts are cleaned and pre-treated, then dipped in a paint bath. An electric charge pulls the paint evenly onto every surface, including inside box sections, before the film is baked. It gives an even primer coat for corrosion protection.

ENCO’s coating line

ENCO’s ED coating line runs at Dharuhera. Its CED and powder-coating lines are conveyorised, and coat about 106,000 sq. in. a day.

Where it runs

A part that cracks, a die that wears, a supplier that slips?

Ask an ENCO engineer. You get an answer from a person who runs presses every day, within one working day.
